Mākara’s been a favourite Cactus spot for a while now - rugged trails, unforgiving scrub, and those famous southerlies that keep us on our toes. But things just got a whole lot wilder. With our mates at the Capital Kiwi Project, we’ve been supporting their epic efforts to bring kiwi back to Wellington, and we’re thrilled to share that the first kiwi chicks have hatched in the capital this spring. That’s right - wild kiwi are officially calling Wellington home again.
