Then specify the length required from the drop down menu. if you need them longer or shorter than the options available here, give us a call: 0800122682
Note: if you choose to hem your overalls to shorter than standard length, we cannot return them. Use the size chart to see what the standard length is, and gauge how much additional length you need.
-
Fabric: Proofed 12oz Premium C-Canvas
- Essentially, Canvas Supertrousers and Supershorts require a bit of a wear-in period to soften the fabric.
- The first three or so washes should be done by hand, then you should be right to machine wash.
- Use cold water with a mild powder detergent, rinse thoroughly, very gentle or no spin and line-dry.
-
Do not iron, dry clean, spin-dry or use bleach.
- When new, the stiffness of the fabric means it creases in points rather than soft folds - washing them in an aggressive or hot machine can cause damage on the crease points.
-
Our canvas also has a waterproofing agent which, if washed in an aggressive or hot machine, can shift and discolour. This will appear as white lines which cannot be removed.
-
Washing inside out will minimise lighter coloured creases on the outside of the fabric, but won’t remove stains quite as well.
- Drip dry without creases (it won't take long as the polyester in the fabric doesn't hold much water)
- Close zips while washing (they'll last longer)
- Note that all the colours will lighten with use and washing as the natural cotton content of the fabric won't take a dye fixative in the same way as a 100% synthetic fabric.
- If you get attacked by a pig and the fabric gets holed while saving your reproductive potential send them back and we'll patch ‘em for a small fee
- If you are still not sure, give us a call or flick us an email
This sizing chart shows our standard Supertrouser leg lengths for reference.
Overalls have adjustable waist size and require hemming to your custom leg length
To work out the length you need for your Overalls measure your leg inseam. This is from your crotch to the floor, in bare feet.
Then specify the length required from the drop down menu.

Cactus socks will keep your toes toasty warm, make your shoes more comfortable, last for ages and being merino - shouldn't stink.*
For all you old school people out there who think they'll be too warm for summer, merino is not only super warm in the winter, it's also super breathable in the summer.
The Cactus socks come in black and in three sizes. Made in New Zealand.
*depending on personal hygiene, they will stink after several days of wear without washing.

Our canvas jackets are the logical companion to our trouser range. Crafted from the same C-Canvas as our Supertrousers and lined with polyester microfibre fleece, this jacket will protect you from the elements but with way more durability than your average down or waterproof/breathable garment. This makes it a favourite in demanding industries like forestry, building and construction. Due to the heavy fabrics used for longevity and protection, we've darted the arms and gusseted the back of the shoulders so there's no loss of flexibility. The Collared Jacket has the same shell, same lining, same rugged toughness, just without the cranial protection of the Hooded Jacket.

Supershirts have evolved. The weight of this new fabric is 200gsm, falling nicely between our previous light and heavy supershirts. The lighter weight makes it great to wear, but it had to be Cactus level of tough and Cactus level of quality. It's a well thought out beast:

- NASA grade thread (that's strong!) and military grade buttons
- First ever ambidextrous pen holder chest pockets (left and right)

It took us a while to add shirts to the Cactus range, because we wanted to make sure we got it right. We couldn't just make any old shirt - it had to be Cactus level of tough and Cactus level of quality.
"We use these in civil contracting jobs, so they get a hard life in the trenches, dirt, grease, sun etc. But they last really well! It's hard to look sharp in a dirty job, and these are as much as you can hope for durability and colour fastness."

Down jackets or puffer jackets are a 'must have' for New Zealand winters. Good down jackets are never cheap so when you buy one you want it to last. This is why we thought that we should take on the challenge to make a tougher down jacket for those working and playing hard in the outdoors. And we did - super tough jackets that stand up to gorse, firewood stacking, brushing past old farm gear and the likes.
Taking on broad feedback that we've had over the years, from both our customers and our repairs team, we've strengthened them in all the places that down jackets are known to fail.
The latest evolution of our women's Cactus Down Jacket features a grunty two way zipper, extra strengthening around the pockets, a removable hood, a few more 'Michelin man' rolls, improved water repelling super powers and so much more.
- Brush dirt from the product while still dry
- Hand wash in a warm water using a non-detergent soap or specific down-washing product - preferably one that's nice to the earth
- Rinse well
- Tumble dry on low heat or line dry away from direct sunlight.
- Close zips while washing (they'll last longer), you can also lightly oil or wax zips periodically to increase their lifespan
- Do not machine wash
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean
